South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier has been given a two-year contract extension, the school announced Monday. Spurrier's contract was scheduled to to expire in 2015. The extension will take Spurrier through the 2017 season, at which point Spurrier will be 72 years old. "It sometimes can be difficult in the recruiting process when you have less than four or five years on your contract," said athletic director Ray Tanner, according to CollegeFootballTalk.com. Spurrier is not expected to receive a raise in the extension, but he already makes over $3 million a year, according to a USA Today database.
