Sources: Clippers reach deal with Jordan Farmar

The Los Angeles Clippers have agreed in principle to sign free-agent point guard Jordan Farmar to a two-year, $4.2 million contract, a league source told Yahoo Sports.

Farmer averaged 10.1 points and 4.9 assists while shooting 43.8 percent from 3-point range for the Los Angeles Lakers last season. The Clippers picked up Farmar to replace Chris Paul's backup point guard, Darren Collison, who has agreed to a contract with the Sacramento Kings. Farmar, a Los Angeles native who played at UCLA, has a player option in the second year of his new deal.

The Los Angeles Times first reported the agreement.
