Sources: Bulls plan to sign shot-blocking forward Jarvis Varnado
The Chicago Bulls plan to sign forward Jarvis Varnado to a 10-day contract on Tuesday, league sources told Yahoo Sports.
Varnado, who plays for the Iowa Energy of the NBA Development League, worked out for Bulls officials in Chicago on Monday, sources said.
He's expected to travel for Chicago's game against the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday night.
Varnado, who is 6-foot-9, has had NBA stops with the Miami Heat and Boston Celtics. He's one of the best shot blockers in the D-League, averaging 4.7 blocks to go along with 14 points and 11 rebounds for Iowa this season.
