University of Virginia center Luke Bowanko is visiting the Minnesota Vikings today and Thursday, according to a league source.
Bowanko visited the Green Bay Packers on Sunday and Monday.
At the Cavaliers' campus Pro Day workout, Bowanko ran the 40-yard dash in 5.25 seconds, bench pressed 225 pounds 26 times and had a 27-inch vertical leap and an 8-3 broad jump.
A team captain for the Cavaliers, Bowanko started every game last season, the final eight at center after starting the first four at left guard.
An All-State AFCA Good Works Team nominee and a Wuerffel Trophy nominee, Bowanko helped Cavaliers running back Kevin Parks become the first UVA runner to rush for 1,000 yards since 2004.
As a junior, Bowanko started every game and shifted from center to right guard.
He was a three-year starter.
At Centrevill High School, he was one of the top ranked players in the region and nation and also played basketball.
