The Detroit Lions worked out quarterback Nathan Enderle and wide receivers Devin Aromashodu and DeMarco Sampson on Saturday, according to a league source.
Enderle was last with the San Diego Chargers, Aromashodu has played for the Chicago Bears and Sampson has played for the Buffalo Bills.
The Lions' roster cuts weren't surprising, including cutting cornerback Chris Greenwood, a 2012 fifth-round draft pick, cornerback Ron Bartell and wide receiver Matt Willis.
The Lions cut former third-round safety Amari Spievey and former Minnesota Vikings second-round safety Tyrell Johnson.
The Lions placed tight end Michael Williams on injured reserve.
