Fresno State cornerback L.J. Jones worked out for the Carolina Panthers and had one visit, according to a league source.

He's drawing steady interest from the Oakland Raiders.

Jones has 4.44 speed in the 40-yard dash and is drawing sixth-round draft grades.

The 5-foot-10, 201-pounder bench pressed 225 pounds 14 times and registered a 33-inch vertical leap with a 9-3 broad jump, a 4.30 20-yard shuttle and a 6.90 three-cone drill.

The Los Angeles native missed the final six games of the season wiht a knee injury after starting the first seven games. He was the only Fresno State player to have a sack, fumble recovery and an intercpetion this season. he intercepted two passes against Hawai'i, including a 56-yarder for a touchdown.

He was an All-Mountain West-Conference honorable-mention selection.

He had 44 tackles as a junior with 14 pass deflections and one interception, a half-sack and a fumble recovery.

As a sophomore, he started every game and had 56 tackles and three interceptions.

He finished his career with 115 tackles and six interceptions.

He ran track in high school with a 100-meter time of 10.71 seconds and a 200-meter time of 22.1 seconds.
