Source: Spurs not re-signing JaMychal Green
The San Antonio Spurs have decided not to sign forward JaMychal Green to a second 10-day contract, a source told Yahoo Sports.
Green, 24, averaged two points and 1.5 rebounds in four games with the Spurs. The 6-foot-8, 240-pounder could return to the Austin Spurs of the NBA Development League if an NBA team doesn’t sign him to a 10-day contract by the weekend. The Memphis Grizzlies, New York Knicks, Chicago Bulls, Milwaukee Bucks and Portland Trail Blazers have shown interest in Green, a source told Yahoo.
Green averaged 23 points, 10.7 rebounds and 2.5 assists this season for Austin. Various teams expressed interest in signing him before he joined San Antonio. Green also took part in the Spurs’ training camp before being waived Oct. 22.
