The New England Patriots worked out defensive tackle Fred Evans on Thursday, a source told Yahoo Sports.

Evans played for the Minnesota Vikings, the Patriots' opponent on Sunday, for the past seven seasons before getting cut in late August.

Defensive tackles Chris Jones (ankle) and Sealver Siliga (hand) had limited participation in practice, according to the Patriots' injury report on Thursday.

In eight seasons, Evans has played in 95 games with six starts. He has three career sacks.
