Source: Forward Mike Scott reaches agreement to remain with Hawks

Restricted free-agent forward Mike Scott has reached agreement on a three-year, $10 million contract to stay with the Atlanta Hawks, a league source told Yahoo Sports.

Scott has developed into a promising young player for the Hawks, averaging 9.6 points and 3.6 rebounds per game in 2013-14. In his second season, Scott played nearly 19 minutes per game and became an important rotation player for the Hawks on a playoff run that led to a 4-3 series loss in the first-round of the Eastern Conference playoffs against Indiana.

Scott had four double-figure scoring games, including performances of 17 and 15 points, in the playoff series against the Pacers.

Scott, 26, was the 43rd overall pick in the 2012 NBA draft out of the University of Virginia.
