Soldado can leave for 30 million euros, says Valencia president

Valencia president Amadeo Salvo has claimed that striker Roberto Soldado can leave the club if an interested buyer pays 30 million euros.

Andre Villas-Boas confirmed on Tuesday that Tottenham was interested in the Spain international as the club looks to strengthen its options up front. Tottenham has sent technical director Franco Baldini to negotiate a deal for the Spain frontman, but the Spaniards have stated that they won't accept anything less than his buyout clause.

"Soldado can go if he wants - for 30 million euros and under our conditions," Salvo told reporters. "Valencia never had any intention of selling Soldado. If he goes, then it is because the 30 million euro figure has been met, not a cent less or a cent more.

"The buying club will also have to accept Valencia's conditions of payment.

"We agreed to meet Tottenham again to discuss the ways of paying, and we did that because we understood that his buy-out clause would be met.

"Speaking about ways that deals are paid is normal and this will be done in a way that suits the financial department of Valencia and not that of any other clubs."

Soldado has had in impressive goalscoring record at Valencia, having scored 81 goals in 141 appearances for Los Che.
