Former Utah Jazz coach Jerry Sloan has had talks with the team about returning in some capacity. Sloan abruptly stepped down as the Jazz coach in 2011 after 23 years. He has interviewed for several jobs since then but has remained retired in Utah. He has also been a regular at Jazz home games. The 71-year-old told the Deseret News he has talked with the Jazz about coming back but he does not want to interfere with coach Tyrone Corbin. "That's up to (them)," Sloan said. "That's a situation that's strictly up to Ty or somebody in the Jazz organization. If they want me around, fine. If they don't, (fine). They'd talked to me a little bit about it a little bit earlier." Sloan's role would likely be as a consultant.
