Despite making just 2 of 11 3-point attempts, Siena (15-16, 11-9 Metro Atlantic) had little trouble with Monmouth (11-20, 5-15). The Saints used a 13-2 run early to take control in the first half en route to a 35-23 lead at the break.
The second half featured much of the same. Rob Poole's layup just over 6 minutes after intermission put Siena up by 21 and the Saints held that advantage throughout.
Monmouth was led by Andrew Nicholas, who scored 18 points, including three treys. Deon Jones went 8 of 9 from the line and finished with 14 points.
