BUIES CREEK, N.C. (AP) -- Bradley Moon rushed for 102 yards and a touchdown to help Shorter begin its first season as a Division II program with a win as the Hawks beat Campbell 31-20 Thursday night.

The Fighting Camels, A Football Championship Subdivision team, blew an early fourth quarter lead that sealed their fate.

Going into the final quarter tied at 17, Campbell took the lead with 12:11 left to play on Sam Eberwein's 41-yard field goal. Shorter then used two big plays to rally for the victory.

Eric Dodson threw a 61-yard touchdown pass to Brandon Morton to put the Hawks ahead 24-20. They padded that lead with a 61-yard run by Moon with 4:42 remaining.

Shorter scored the only points of the first quarter behind Dodson's 2-yard run and Troy Postell's 28-yard field goal.

Campbell's Braden Smith connected with Jonathon Rogers on a 10-yard score to tie the game at the half.
