Defensive tackle Richard Seymour was unable to reach an agreement on a contract with the Atlanta Falcons, multiple media outlets reported.
Seymour did thank the Falcons for trying, though.
"I thank them for their efforts," Seymour told CBS Sports on Saturday night, saying the sides couldn't reach an agreement.
Seymour is still open to signing with the Falcons before training camp, but contract talks have been halted for now.
Seymour, 33, started eight games for the Oakland raiders last season.
