Seth Jones: Goes To Nashville at No. 4 Overall

Rotowire.com
Update: Jones has been selected by the Predators with the fourth pick in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.

Recommendation: Is he the next Shea Weber or Rob Blake? Or is he just another Erik Johnson or Victor Hedman? He has it all – grace, poise, size and skill – with few to no glaring holes in his game (other than pure nastiness, but even that can be “grown). He has great wheels and exceptional vision, and is as pro-ready as teenage defenders can come. There could well be an 18-goal, 60-point season (or several) in his future. But there could be nothing more than 35-40 points, too (see Johnson, Erik … if EJ even gets there again). Still, he’s the most complete defender in the draft and one that comes with a “franchise” tag. He was a gift at four for the Preds and the situation couldn't be better for his development.
