Florida State is still No. 3 in both major top 25 polls, released Sunday, but picked up more first-place votes in Associated Press poll and pulled closer to No. 1 Alabama and No. 2 Oregon.

The Crimson Tide (8-0) received 52 top votes, while the Seminoles (8-0) got six and the Ducks (8-0) two in the AP poll. Florida State is only nine total votes behind Oregon.

In the USA Today coaches poll, Alabama received 54 top votes, while Oregon received five and Florida State three.

The top five teams in both polls remained the same. The top six in the AP poll were unchanged, which includes No. 4 Ohio State (9-0), No. 5 Baylor (7-0) and No. 6 Stanford (7-1).

Florida State was helped by a 41-14 victory over Miami 41-14 on Saturday. Miami (7-1) dropped from seventh to No. 14 in the AP poll and from sixth to 14th in the coaches poll.

Michigan State (8-1) made the biggest move up in the polls, climbing from 24th to No. 18 in the AP poll and to No. 19 in the coaches poll after beating Michigan.

The Wolverines (6-2), No. 23 last week in the AP poll and No. 21 in the coaches poll, dropped out of the top 25. They were replaced by Notre Dame (7-2), which re-entered the AP poll at No. 24. In the coaches poll, Arizona State (6-2) entered at No. 24. Notre Dame stayed at No. 25 in the coaches poll.
