By virtue of destroying the Minnesota Vikings 41-20 and the Kansas City Chiefs picking up their first loss of the season, the Seahawks moved into the top two in every Week 12 NFL power ranking. The only question for rankers around the league was whether they were in the top spot or behind the Denver Broncos.

Seattle holds firm at No. 2, although Frank Schwab makes it clear that the Seahawks and Broncos are the clear class of the NFL. Schwab examines the Seahawks remaining schedule, indicating that 13-3 seems like a worst case scenario, while 15-1 is not completely out of the question.

Brian Billick moves the Seahawks past the Chiefs, as Russell Wilson continues an assault on the record books. One more win and Wilson will tie Ben Roethlisberger for most wins in the first two seasons of a career as starting quarterback. Wilson is already tied with the great Dan Marino.

The Seahawks also move past the Chiefs here, into the second position. ESPN claims that as scary as the Seahawks have looked at times, they are now even scarier with Harvin. Harvin put a charge into Seattle in his debut, and is only going to get better.

Pete Prisco moves Seattle into the top spot, as the Seahawks are the first to ten wins in the NFL and have the best chance at the No. 1 seed in the NFC. That's bad news for the rest of the league, as Seattle is on a 13 game home winning streak.

Again, the Seahawks are moved up to the top spot by Mike Florio. He says a three game lead in the division could soon turn into a three game lead in the conference when the New Orleans Saints come to town in Week 13.

Although he ranks Seattle second and says the Broncos are the clear No. 1 team, Matt Harrison acknowledges this is the Seahawks team we've been waiting for. He is particularly impressed by Seattle's dominant defense holding Adrian Peterson to 65 yards.
The Seahawks now get their bye week, but after that they'll have a stretch where these lofty rankings can really be justified. The Seahawks take on the Saints, a top 4 team in every ranking, on Monday Night Football Dec. 2.
