With the 2012 NFL season on the horizon, the Seattle Seahawks have announced their training camp schedule, including 13 practices that will be open to the public--at least, those members of the public who plan ahead.
The Seahawks will converge on the Virginia Mason Athletic Center (VMAC) in Renton, Wash., on July 28 to begin training camp, heading back home on August 15. If fans want to attend any of the practices, however, they'll have to register on the Seahawks' website beginning July 13 on a first-come, first-served basis. Season ticket holders get first crack at registration, beginning July 11.
Only those fans who have registered will be allowed to attend practices, and fans under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Fans will also be charged a $6 transportation fee to cover the cost of a shuttle between the off-site parking lot and the VMAC. The VMAC parking lot will be closed to the public.
The Seahawks will post specific practice times, bus schedules, and maps on their website at the time of registration.
The team's practices will open at 10 a.m. local time each day from July 28 through July 31 and from August 2 through August 4. The August 5 practice begins at 1 p.m.
From August 7-9 and from August 14-15, practices begin at 1:15 p.m.
The Seahawks host the Tennessee Titans on August 11 in preseason action. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. local time.
