The Atlanta defense had no answer for Marshawn Lynch as he led the way to a blowout win for the Seahawks over the hapless Falcons, 33-10, in Atlanta.
Russell Wilson accounted for two touchdowns against the Falcons on 19 of 26 passing for 287 yards and no interceptions. Matt Ryan went 23 of 36 with 172 yards passing, one touchdown and no interceptions for the Falcons.
Lynch was a focal point for the Seahawks, running at will on the Falcons for 145 yards on 24 carries with a touchdown in addition to three receptions for 16 yards. Golden Tate was a highlight, pulling in six balls for 106 yards with a touchdown.
The Seattle defensive unit led the way to a victory, limiting the Falcons to 64 yards rushing and 172 passing. They brought down Ryan for two sacks.
Lastly, Steven Hauschka was perfect, hitting all four of the field goals he attempted.
Falcons running back Jacquizz Rodgers contributed 31 yards rushing and 28 receiving.
The Seahawks will play host to the Vikings (2-7) next week while the Falcons head to Tampa to face off with the Buccaneers (0-8).
