The 2012 Seattle Seahawks schedule of home games includes an extremely tough group of opponents. It begins in Week 2 with a matchup against the Dallas Cowboys and continues with teams like the Green Bay Packers, New England Patriots and San Francisco 49ers coming to town at different points.
The one thing going for the Seahawks is that the team has the opportunity to take advantage of the boisterous home crowd during some games where they will be considered the underdog. Playing Green Bay and New England is much easier at home than at Lambeau Field or Foxboro Stadium. It's almost impossible to underscore how tough those games would have been on the road this year.
During the preseason, Seahawks fans will get to see Matt Hasselbeck, Jake Locker and the Tennessee Titans make an appearance on August 11. The Seahawks will also take on the Oakland Raiders in the final warm-up game, hopefully allowing the starting lineup to really show off. Television coverage of those two games has not yet been announced by the team or the league.
During the 2011 season, the Seahawks sported a 4-4 record at home, which didn't exactly show the home field advantage that Century Link Field can provide. That may all change in 2012 with an improved roster and further developed young players.
