Sean Johnson has been nominated for an EA Sports cover, and fans can vote through Sept. 15. This has been a busy week for the Chicago Fire goalie who has been called up by the U.S. national team and received another nomination for MLS Save of the Week. Johnson is one of 19 players selected for the fan vote that will determine the faces on the customized cover for the FIFA 13 video game. By participating in the contest, fans are also being entered to win tickets and accommodation for the 2012 MLS Cup.
Sean Johnson Receives Another Nomination
The Chicago Fire goalie is being recognized by multiple sources this week. On Sept. 5, he was nominated to appear on an EA Sports cover. FIFA 13 will have customized covers that include three MLS players, and Sean Johnson is the nominee for the Chicago Fire. Each team in the league has one player who fans can vote for in the contest. A total of three players will be selected from the list that includes Sean Johnson, Dan Kennedy, Matt Pickens, Federico Higuain, Dwayne DeRosario, Brek Shea, Brad Davis, Landon Donovan, Marco Di Vaio, Benny Feilhaber, Tim Cahill, Micheal Farfan, Darlington Nagbe, Kyle Beckerman, Chris Wondolowski, Fredy Montero, Jimmy Nielsen, Torsten Frings and Jay DeMerit.
The Online Form for Voting and a Contest for Fans
MLS has created a simple online form for voting that requires the player selections, email address and a name. The other questions on the form are optional. In addition to voting for the three players who will appear on the customized cover of FIFA 13, fans will be entered in a contest to win tickets for the 2012 MLS Cup.
The contest for fans includes two tickets to the 2012 MLS Cup and VIP 2012 EA Sideline Experience at the game. The prize comes with two airline tickets, but fans will not be traveling in first class because the tickets are for coach. However, the prize package includes free hotel accommodations for two nights. Voting will close on Sept. 15 at 11:59 p.m. EST, but fans can enter multiple times because MLS will not restrict this.
