Thanks to a fine game from 341, the Seahawks destroyed the Broncos, 43-8 in East Rutherford. With the victory, Seattle is the champion of Super Bowl XLVIII.
Russell Wilson found the end zone for two touchdowns against the Broncos on 18 of 25 passing for 206 yards and no interceptions. In comparison, Peyton Manning went 34 of 49 with 280 yards passing, one touchdown, two picks and one fumble for the Broncos.
Marshawn Lynch ran for 39 yards on 15 carries with a touchdown. Doug Baldwin caught five balls for 66 yards with a touchdown.
The Seattle defense was the major reason for the victory, allowing 27 yards rushing and 280 passing. They were able to get to Manning for one sack.
Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomas had a productive game with 118 receiving yards and one touchdown. Wide receiver Wes Welker also had a noteworthy performance with 84 receiving yards.
