OSLO, Norway (AP) -- Sarah Hendrickson of the United States edged Sara Takanashi of Japan on Sunday to win the last World Cup meet of the women's ski jumping season.
The 18-year-old American has narrowly beaten Takanashi in the last three meets. Takanashi won eight World Cup events earlier in the season.
Hendrickson led by 1.9 points after the first round on the large hill at Holmenkollen. She won the second by 0.1 points for a total of 262.8 from jumps of 135.5 and 129 meters. The 16-year-old Japanese jumper totaled 260.8 points from leaps of 134 and 133.5 meters.
Takanashi had already clinched the World Cup title but Hendrickson beat her to take the gold medal at last month's world championships.
