SAN FRANCISCO (AP) -- Cole Dickerson scored 20 points and led four players into double figures as San Francisco easily outdistanced Nicholls State 77-48 Saturday night.
Both teams got off to a slow start after a prolonged break for exams - a two-week break for the Dons, who built a 30-17 lead at intermission.
Dickerson connected on 7 of 10 shots from the field, including 2 of 4 from 3-point range, and pulled down eight rebounds. Tim Derksen added 15 points while Mark Tollefsen and Avry Holmes added 12 and 10 points, respectively.
The Dons (6-4) were a collective 23 of 40 from the field (57.5 percent). San Francisco came into the game averaging 85.2 points per game.
The game was the first meeting between the schools.
