Anquan Boldin had a big night receiving, leading the way to a rout for the 49ers over the hapless Redskins, 27-6, in Landover.
Colin Kaepernick punished the Redskins for three scores on 15 of 24 passing for 235 yards and no interceptions. In comparison, Robert Griffin III did not have as good a night for the Redskins, going 17 of 27 with 127 yards passing, no touchdowns and one pick.
Frank Gore ran for 31 yards on 13 carries. Boldin was a highlight, pulling in five passes for 94 yards with two touchdowns.
The San Francisco defense was the deciding factor in the victory, holding the Redskins to 100 yards rushing and 127 passing while coming up with one interception. They harassed Griffin III and the Redskins offensive line with an imposing four sacks.
Redskins wide receiver Pierre Garcon tallied 48 receiving yards.
Next week, the 49ers are at home against the Rams (5-6) while the Redskins play the Giants (4-7), also at home.
