Chargers Beat Colts, 19-9

The Indianapolis defense had no answer for Ryan Mathews as he led the way to a solid win for the Chargers against the Colts, 19-9, at home.

Philip Rivers finished with 237 yards on 22 for 33 passing, one touchdown and no interceptions. On the Colts side, Andrew Luck went 18 for 30 with 202 yards passing, no touchdowns and one pick.

Mathews rushed for 102 yards on 22 carries. Keenan Allen was a weapon for the offense, catching nine balls for 107 yards with a touchdown.

The San Diego defensive unit led the way to a victory, allowing 74 yards rushing and 193 passing. They were able to bring down Luck for one sack.

Lastly, Nick Novak was perfect, hitting all four of the field goals he attempted.

Colts wide receiver Reggie Wayne put up 88 receiving yards.

Next week, the Chargers travel to Jacksonville to face the Jaguars (0-6) while the Colts are at home against the Broncos (6-0).
