BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) -- Raijon Kelly was 5 of 7 from 3-point range with 21 points and eight assists as Samford beat Austin Peay 85-63 on Saturday.
Samford (4-7) trailed 39-27 with 2 minutes left in the first half. But the Bulldogs went on a 21-1 run to lead 48-40 with 15:37 left in the second half and a 17-4 run later to go ahead 68-48. They outscored Austin Peay 52-24 in the second half.
Isaiah Williams had 17 points and six assists and Tim Williams had 12 points and nine rebounds for Samford.
Both teams struggled to take care of the ball, but the difference was shooting. Samford was 54.1 percent from the field and 13 of 22 from 3-point range while holding Austin Peay to 28.1 percent shooting and 2 of 20 on 3-pointers.
Travis Betran led Austin Peay (4-5) with 13 points and Chris Horton had 11 points and 10 rebounds.
