Sakho tempted by Monaco move

Paris Saint-Germain defender Mamadou Sakho has revealed he would consider a move to AS Monaco this summer.

The newly-promoted Ligue 1 outfit has spent lavishly thus far in the close season, with more than 120 million euros having already been invested on deals for Radamel Falcao, Joao Moutinho and James Rodriguez.

Sakho is another name to have been linked with Claudio Ranieri's side in the French media recently and the 23-year-old admits a move to Stade Louis II would be an appealing prospect.

When asked whether he would consider a summer switch to Monaco, he told le 10 Sport: "We'll see. I'm under contract until 2014. I am happy, I will leave things to take their course.

"In football, anything is possible. Monaco show spirit, just as Paris did before and will continue to do. But there is an interesting project there, it's true."

Sakho has previously been linked with a move to the Premier League, with the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool thought to be interested, although PSG assistant coach Claude Makelele insisted last month that the club would not entertain any offers for the center back.
