Strief was an unrestricred free agent.
He stared 15 games last season as well as two playoff games.
He has started 38 games since 2011 and four playoff games during that span.
“We are excited to announce that Zach will stay with us into the future,” Saints general manager Mickey Loomis said. “Not only has he done an excellent job at the right tackle position, but he has served us well as an offensive team captain for the past two seasons and has always been a great asset in the community since he first came here in 2006.”
Strief is a former seventh-round draft pick from Northwestern who has started 45 of 109 career regular-season games for one of the NFL's top offenses.
