The New Orleans Saints announced Monday that they agreed to contract terms with veteran free agent safety Jim Leonhard.
Leonhard, 30, played for the Denver Broncos last year and spent the three previous seasons with the New York Jets.
"I got the okay from my agent," Leonhard wrote on Twitter. "New year, new opportunity. We are glad to be joining the New Orleans Saints."
Leonhard played all 16 games last year, including one start, and intercepted two passes. He also returned 15 punts for 89 yards.
He has 344 tackles, 3.5 sacks, eight interceptions and two forced fumbles in 110 career NFL games.
