The New Orleans Saints agreed to a one-year deal with free agent wide receiver Steve Breaston, ESPN reported Monday.
Breaston, 29, had knee inflammation early in the offseason, but his agent, Eric Metz, told ESPN in March that the wide receiver was medically cleared after MRIs revealed nothing alarming.
Breaston was released by the Kansas City Chiefs in February. He signed a five-year, $22.5 million contract in 2011. He made just seven catches for 74 yards in 10 games last year.
