U.S. midfielder Sacha Kljestan celebrated his call-up to the national team with a goal on Thursday, as Anderlecht comfortably defeated Lokeren 4-2.
Kljestan opened the game's scoring in the 25th minute when he rose up quickly in the box to direct a header home. It was the 27-year-old's second goal of the season.
With the win, Anderlecht locked up at least a Champions League preliminary round berth for next season. Kljestan's side can clinch the Belgian title, and a Champions League group berth, with a win or draw against Zulte Waregem in the season's final game on Sunday.
Sitting two points back in second place, Zulte Waregem will win the title only with a win in the match at the Constant Vanden Stock Stadium.
