Buffalo Sabres winger Patrick Kaleta was released from the hospital Wednesday after being held overnight for observation, but he did not travel with the team for Thursday's game against the Boston Bruins, the Buffalo News reported. Coach Lindy Ruff told the News that Kaleta was hospitalized because of a neck injury sustained after taking a hit from behind from Toronto's Mike Brown on Tuesday. It's unclear when Ruff will return to action. Kaleta does not have a point in six games this season.
