What would Ryan Lochte do?
It's a question that fans everywhere could get answered when Lochte's new reality TV show of the same name premieres on E!
The entertainment company announced Monday that Lochte would be featured in a six-episode series scheduled to debut on the network in April. Viewers can expect the series to follow Lochte as he prepares for the 2016 Olympic Games, parties, works on his fashion line and spends time with family, according to network representatives.
It won't be the first time Lochte has appeared on TV since reaching celebrity status during the 2012 Olympic Games. Lochte also has made cameo appearances on "30 Rock" and "90201," and for a while the swimming legend showed a real interest in becoming the next "Bachelor."
The "Bachelor" rumors were short lived, and Lochte went on to tour the entertainment world in other ways. In September, he acted as a Fashion Week correspondent for E! News.
Despite his recent foray into the entertainment sector, Lochte still is best known for his accomplishments in the pool. The 28-year-old swimmer has won 11 Olympic medals in three Olympic Games and set world records in two long-course individual events. He's one of the few swimmers to defeat Michael Phelps multiple times.
Lochte joins a growing list of Olympic swimmers who have appeared on reality shows. For example, Phelps is scheduled to appear on "The Haney Project" in February, and in 2011 Ed Moses starred in his own show on Universal Sports, titled "Against the Tide."
