Roundup: Ohio State's Miller day-to-day

Ohio State quarterback Braxton Miller is considered day-to-day with an injured knee sustained during Saturday's 42-7 win over San Diego State.

Miller strained his left MCL on the first drive of the game when he was pinned between tacklers while running the ball. He did not return.

Miller's status for Saturday's game at California is uncertain.

"Braxton Miller is a day-to-day decision," coach Urban Meyer said Monday. "He's feeling much better, but he's just a little stiff. We'll know more (Tuesday) morning after that 48-hour period with this injury."

Senior Kenny Guiton took over for Miller, throwing for 152 yards with two touchdowns and an interception and running for 83 yards with a TD.

Guiton also came off the bench against Buffalo in the season opener and threw a TD pass while Miller sat with cramps.

Meyer said Miller will play Saturday if he is healthy.

---Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops said junior Blake Bell will start at quarterback against Tulsa in place of Trevor Knight, who has a bruised knee.

Knight was injured late in the first half of Oklahoma's 16-7 win over West Virginia on Saturday. He is expected to be out one to two weeks.

Bell is 3-of-6 passing for 38 yards. He backed up Landry Jones the previous two seasons.

---Cincinnati quarterback Munchie Legaux is out the rest of the season with a knee injury. Legaux was injured in the fourth quarter of Cincinnati's 45-17 loss Saturday against Illinois.

After spending Saturday night at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, Ill., Legaux was transferred to UC Medical Center in Cincinnati on Sunday.

The specific injury was not announced, but coach Tommy Tuberville said it was serious.

---The Florida Gators have week off before their SEC home opener against Tennessee. The extra time should give Gators quarterback Jeff Driskel plenty of time to recuperate from a knee sprain suffered in Saturday's 21-16 loss to Miami, the school said.

According to multiple reports, Driskel was seen on campus using crutches Monday after being injured in the second quarter on Saturday.

Despite being injured, Driskel finished the game with a career-high 291 passing yards while accounting for two touchdowns. But he had three turnovers and was stopped on 4th-and-1 at the Hurricanes' 16-yard line in the loss, which dropped the Gators to No. 18.
