Cardinals head coach Ken Whisenhunt announced that rookie Ryan Lindley will start at quarterback in Week 12 vs. the Rams.
Lindley saw his first NFL action last Sunday replacing John Skelton. He completed 9-of-20 passes for 64 yards in the loss to Atlanta.
Skelton had started five games this season and has thrown two touchdown passes and five interceptions. The Cardinals got off to a 4-0 start but have not won since Week Four. Kevin Kolb has been out with a rib injury since Week Six, but is expected to return to practice this week.

Way we see it
Whisenhunt's decision to go with Lindley over Skelton was not surprising. Team sources believe Whisenhunt has pretty much lost all his patience with Skelton, whose errant passes to wide-open targets have become a big annoyance the head coach can not shake.
Lindley's starting stint is expected to last only game, however, with Kevin Kolb likely to return to the starting lineup for the Week 13 game vs. the Jets.
