New York Yankees
third baseman Alex Rodriguez
will face live pitching on Tuesday, Yankees general manager Brian Cashman said, according to the Newark Star-Ledger.
Rodriguez has been sidelined all year with a hip problem, and this would be the first time he would face live pitching this season.
If the session goes well, he may begin a rehab assignment soon. If there are no setbacks, Rodriguez could be ready to return to the Yankees in about three or four weeks.
