SAN DIEGO -- Catcher Wilin Rosario drove in two runs as the Colorado Rockies handed the San Diego Padres their 10th consecutive defeat Monday night with a 4-2 victory before a crowd of 20,400 at Petco Park.

The win snapped a three-game skid for the Rockies (43-47) and sent the reeling Padres (40-50) to their 12th setback in the past 13 games.

Tyler Chatwood limited the Padres to three hits before they scored two runs in the seventh inning. But that would be it as Chatwood got help from reliever Rex Brothers, who retired Chase Headley with the bases loaded to prevent San Diego from scoring more.

Matt Belisle retired the side in order in the eighth before Rafael Betancourt pitched a scoreless ninth to record his 12th save.

Chatwood (5-2) allowed two runs on five hits with three walks and four strikeouts in 6 2/3 innings. He is 4-1 against National League West opponents this season.

The Rockies scored two runs in the first and two more in the sixth to chase Padres starter Edinson Volquez. Jonathan Herrera drove in one run when he dropped a squeeze bunt to score Nolan Arenado with one out for a 3-0 advantage.

Volquez (6-7), who allowed four runs on eight hits with four walks in 5 1/3 innings, followed that by walking Chatwood to load the bases. Corey Dickson's sacrifice fly to deep left gave Colorado a four-run cushion.

The Padres' runs came courtesy of a bases-loaded walk to Everth Cabrera and an RBI infield single by Kyle Blanks.

Volquez got off to a rocky start, giving up a two-run double to Wilin Rosario with one out in the first. Volquez escaped further damage by getting Arenado to ground into an inning-ending double play.
