Rockets' Asik fined for flopping, Nuggets' Gallinari warned
Houston's Omer Asik received a $5,000 fine from the NBA for flopping and Denver's Danilo Gallinari was given a warning by the league as a first-time offender.
Asik was penalized for his second offense this season, which happened last Saturday during a game against San Antonio when he exaggerated a push from the Spurs' Tim Duncan.
A third flopping violation would bring a $10,000 fine for the 7-foot Asik, who is averaging 10.2 points and 11.7 rebounds in 71 games this season.
If Gallinari flopped again, he would draw a $5,000 fine for a second violation.
Gallinari's flop came in a game against New Orleans on March 25. He tried to draw a charge on Robin Lopez when there was no contact on the play.
The 6-10 Gallinari is averaging 16.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 68 games for the Nuggets this season.
