Robert Griffin: MRI Implies Partial Ligament Tears
Update: Griffin underwent an MRI on Monday that indicated there were partial tears of the ACL and LCL in his right knee, the Washington Post reports.

Recommendation: The Redskins are seeking Dr. James Andrews' interpretation of the results Tuesday for additional information, however, because it's difficult to determine from an MRI whether tears are current or are merely leftover indicators from previous tears. Griffin suffered a torn ACL in the same knee in his second year at Baylor and suffered LCL damage earlier this year, so the immediate results of the MRI were potentially ambiguous. Andrews' input should provide some closure on the matter, though surgery may be necessary to fully understand Griffin's injury.
