Kendall Anthony scored 24 points and Richmond extended its winning streak to three games with a 82-70 victory over Fordham on Saturday in Richmond, Va. The Spiders (17-8, 7-3 Atlantic 10) also got 14 points off the bench from guard ShawnDre' Jones. Forward Deion Taylor added 13 points and forward Trey Davis made all five of his shots from the field and finished with 11 points. Anthony, who entered the day leading the Atlantic 10 in averaging 19.6 points per conference game, padded his stats with a 10-of-10 performance at the free throw line. It was the third loss in a row for the Rams (9-15, 2-11), who were beaten despite outrebounding the Spiders 37-25. Fordham turned the ball over 14 times and shot 42.9 percent from the floor. Guard Jon Severe had 28 points for Fordham and guard Branden Frazier added 24. No other Fordham player scored more than four points. Richmond had another strong game from 3-point range. The Spiders went 9 of 24 from 3-point range and five different players made at least one. The victory gave Richmond a season sweep of Fordham. The Spiders defeated the Rams 77-74 on the road Jan. 11.
