What's buzzing:

RG3 expected to practice Wednesday

ASHBURN, Va. -- Hearts were in throats throughout the Washington area when Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III was down on the field during the fourth quarter Sunday after being pounded by massive Denver Broncos defensive tackle Terrance Knighton.

Griffin headed to the sideline, and his left knee -- not the right knee that was surgically repaired last year -- was examined.

After sitting out the remaining five minutes of the game, Griffin said he was fine. Coach Mike Shanahan said on Monday that Griffin should practice Wednesday as usual and be ready for Sunday's home game against the San Diego Chargers.

"Those three or four seconds where you have a 300-hundred plus guy landing on you is going to scare you a bit," Griffin said. "After I got up and the doc checked me, I was fine and ready to go back in, but (backup) Kirk (Cousins) was already out there, so we decided it was smart to just keep me off the field and be ready to go next week."
