Robert Griffin III appears to still be on track to start Sunday when the Washington Redskins host the Minnesota Vikings at FedEx Field.
Griffin participated in practice again Thursday without difficulties and at this point you have to imagine only a setback will prevent him from being in the lineup a week after suffering a concussion in the third quarter of a loss to the Atlanta Falcons. Ultimately, doctors still have to clear him to play in the game.
Shanahan said there is no plan to change how the game is called with Griffin coming back off the injury.
“If I went into a game thinking I had to call it a different way because he might get hurt, then he doesn’t need to be playing,” he said.
