Darrelle Revis attempted to dispel the notion on Tuesday that he is not getting along with Greg Schiano in light of reports that the star cornerback is disenchanted with the coach's rigid approach.
The two met for about 15 minutes, the NFL Network reported, and Revis also took to Twitter to try to diffuse the situation.
"What's going on Buc fans. Just to clear the smoke. I'm happy to be a Buccaneer & I'm happy to be a resident of Tampa."
And he added, "I'm excited for this year & I'm excited about this team as we move forward to prepare each week to get a W!!!
The Buccaneers (0-2) have yet to get that 'W' after two close losses to open the season.
Fox Sports reported Sunday that Revis does not like Schiano's coaching style and also the team's defensive schemes that he sees as relying too much on zone coverage.
The 28-year-old Revis played lots of man coverage in his first six years in the NFL with the New York Jets before he landed in Tampa Bay after an offseason trade. He had 19 interceptions with the Jets in 79 games and went to four Pro Bowls.
