NEWTON, Iowa -- Timothy Peters knows the way to victory lane at Iowa Speedway.

Peters was strong on two late restarts and held off Erik Jones for his second straight win at the track in the NASCAR Camping World Trucks Series American Ethanol 200.

It was Peters' first win of the season and sixth in his career, moving the Red Horse Racing driver into sixth place in the season points standings.

Peters grabbed the lead with 27 laps to go, taking the outside lane on Ty Dillon, and then pulled away from the field. But Dillon closed the gap and pole-sitter German Quiroga bumped Ryan Blaney, sending him into the wall and creating a final restart with six laps left.

Iowa Speedway was a springboard to a second-place points finish last season for Peters. Saturday's win was just Peters' second top-five finish and fifth in the top 10 during an up-and-down 2013 season.

The first time Peters grabbed the lead from Dillon came off a restart as well, after Johnny Sauter's collision with the wall on Lap 113. Dillon thrived on longer runs and seemed dialed in during those stretches. The restarts cost him in the final quarter of the race.

James Buescher, who opted for four tires during his final pit stop that placed him too far after the leaders took two tires, led 24 laps and placed third. It was his best finish of the season for the defending points champion and his first top-five finish this year.
