Reports: Gronkowski out for rest of postseason

The Patriots will be without TE Rob Gronkowski for the rest of the postseason after he reinjured his forearm, Pro Football Talk first reported.

The All-Pro tight end broke his forearm late in a Week 11 win against the Colts and missed the next five games before returning for the regular-season finale. Multiple reports indicate that Gronkowski re-broke his forearm.

Gronkowski started in Sunday’s divisional-round playoff game against the Texans. On an incomplete pass, a diving Gronkowski fell on the arm and immediately left the game.

In 11 games this season, Gronkowski had 55 catches for 790 yards and 11 touchdown catches. Michael Hoomanawanui replaced Gronkowski when the Patriots had two-TE sets. Daniel Fells was inactive, but likely will be active the rest of the playoffs.
