If Wes Welker is going to leave the New England Patriots and Tom Brady, what better place for him to find consolation than with Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos?
Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Welker's representatives and the Broncos are in serious talks to bring the wide receiver to Denver.
Welker's career has flourished since he joined the Patriots and became one of Brady's favorite targets. It was widely expected that Welker would re-up in New England even though he and the Patriots could not come together on a contract extension following being franchised last year.
Now that the Broncos are in the picture, could it spell the end of Welker in Foxboro?
