U.S. women's soccer goalkeeper Hope Solo tied the knot with former Seattle Seahawks tight end Jerramy Stevens a few hours after he appeared in court Tuesday.
The marriage ceremony took place near Snohomish, Wash., king5.com in Seattle reported.
Stevens was in Kirkland Municipal Court court Tuesday on suspicion of assaulting Solo during a party early Monday morning. Solo was present in the courtroom but left without speaking with reporters.
A judge found that there was no evidence to charge Stevens with an assault and released him. According to Kirkland police, Stevens was arrested Monday for investigation of fourth-degree domestic violence and was not charged, but the case remains under investigation.
Police said there was a physical altercation at a party that involved eight people. Solo wasn't identified by police as the victim, bur court records indicated that it was Solo. She had a cut on an elbow.
Stevens and Solo both attended the University of Washington.
Solo, who played on the U.S. women's gold-medal team in London, tweeted a photo of the couple Thursday and said she was headed to Tampa. Fla.
