Report: Tim Thomas considering a comeback

Goalie Tim Thomas may attempt a comeback in 2013-2014, CBC's Elliotte Friedman reported.

Thomas, who played for the Boston Bruins in 2011-2012, sat out this past season to be with his family.

The New York Islanders acquired the rights to Thomas in February, giving up a conditional second-round draft choice in 2014 or 2015 to get him.

However, according to Freidman, Thomas, 39, may decide to play in Europe instead. Thomas played in the Finnish League before he establishing himself in the NHL.
