Three Pittsburgh players were detained for use or possession of drug paraphernalia as part of a drug bust on Thursday, KDKA in Pittsburgh reported.
The players are linebacker Eric Williams, tight end Andrew Carswell and defensive linemen Khanyin Moslesy-Smith.
After making an initial arrest, SWAT officers were called in to break down a door to arrest the three players, according to the report.
The three were suspended indefinitely by head coach Paul Chryst.
"We have strict and clear standards regarding these types of behaviors," Chryst said in a statement. "What has occurred with these three young men does not represent the standards of our program or university."
Williams was fifth on the team in tackles last season with 52. Moslesy-Smith recorded just eight tackles. Carswell had 13 receptions for 163 yards and two touchdowns.
